'Call of Duty: Modern Warfare' has remained fresh because of the introduction of 'Warzone' and additional multiplayer maps, but it's nonetheless time to start looking ahead to what Activision's 2020 release will offer.
THE Call of Duty Black Ops 5 release date is expected to be announced in the coming months by Activision, but it doesn't appear that it will be stealing the limelight from Modern Warfare. Kotaku's ‘Jason Schreier' has confirmed that the new COD 2019 game will be called Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. This title sounds really ridiculous as it makes it sound similar to Call.
Over the past couple of weeks, official hints of what the game is based on have been teased. Most have been in the form of nonsensical riddles, sprinkled out to the desperate COD community like fish meal flakes to goldfish.
On Wednesday, Activision finally confirmed the game's title: 'Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.' The trailer released by the company along with the name announcement was cryptic, revealing few obvious clues as to the specifics of how the game will play out (particularly on the multiplayer side) while also providing a general thematic overview for the game.

At the end of Wednesday's trailer, Activision announced there would be a 'worldwide reveal' for the game on Aug. 26. There will likely be additional details concerning the game released in a flurry following that date.

While a full trailer for the actual game has not yet been pushed out, Activision on Wednesday provided a two-minute teaser video. This corroborates with previous leaks about the upcoming entry in Activision's megalithic shooter franchise, which is said to be under development at Black Ops developer Treyarch after Sledgehammer was originally assigned to the project, but fell under significant production issues.

Indeed, Activision and Treyarch are remaining characteristically hush hush right now, but May is generally the time we'd expect to see a reveal for the next Call of Duty game in the annual series, so it shouldn't be too long until the first trailer surfaces online.
